A Community-Involved Businessman
Jess A. Romero is a life-long Napa Valley resident and owner of Romero’s Tax Service. Jess attended St. John's Catholic School and later graduated from Justin-Siena high School. Following graduation, he attended Napa Valley Community College, and later Solano Community College. Jess became a journeyman sheet metal mechanic following his successful completion of an apprenticeship program. He formerly was employed as a sheet metal mechanic at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard.

In 1990, Jess assumed sole proprietorship of Romero’s Tax Service, a business started in 1972 by his late father Jess and his mother Virginia C. Romero. In that capacity, Jess continues to serve the Spanish-speaking community in the North Bay, providing tax and financial counseling year round.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Jess is active in the Napa community serving on a number of boards including St. John's Catholic School Board, where he served as a President. He also as a participated in the Leadership Napa Valley Board, which is was a graduate of Class X, and an active member of Community Action of Napa Valley Board. Jess has also served as President, Vice President, and Treasurer of the Napa County Hispanic Network.

In his more leisurely pursuits, Jess is a founding member of the Napa Valley Raider Booster Club, where he has served as the Newsletter Editor since the inception of that organization in 1995.
Jess believes that "being involved with my community allows me to do my part in helping preserve this beautiful Valley, so that my children can also be nurtured by this wonderful place we are privileged to call home."

Jess and his wife, Marisabel, live in Napa with their son and daughter, Blaine and Jessie Rynn.
